We use RFID Race Timing Systems hardware and and Racetec Software to time our events.
The system is ideally suited to timing running events, triathlons, duathlons, cross country races, mountain bike events, open water swims in fact any event where you need to accurately time a lot of people moving from one point to another.
About the System
The timing system consists of a transponder chip fitted to a velcro ankle strap, a timing mat which picks up the transmitted code from the chip and a control box which processes the chip codes and timing information. Attached to the control box is a laptop computer running Racetec live timing software. This allows us to show live results on a flat screen TV during the race and also allows competitors and spectators to interrogate results and splits during the race by typing in their race number on a numeric key pad.
